Lundy 17/18 May 2008

Yes i know that's almost a year away but the skipper has no free weekends this season so i've booked both boats [24 spaces] for the weekend.

Obsession Boat Charters | Diving Charters, Fishing Charters

my club & guests have taken about 12 of the spaces already so the rest are up for grabs. Accommodation TBC closer to the time but Ilfracombe is full of guest houses, caravan sites & even camp sites.

Diving will fall into the BSAC SD/ SAA CD/ PADI AOW range plan is to dive the Robert & perhaps another wreck along with the no take zone where the life is supposed to be very good. Plan is for at least 1 of the boats to do a 3rd day to make the journey more worthwhile. Start times won't be horrendus you can load at any state of the tide so i was planning 9ish daily.

cost of the boats is £600 per boat per day but we have a bit of a discount so it's working out at £46 per diver per day. Deposits £25.00 payable by end of September [i'll pm details to those on the list], interim payment Feb, balance March. Normal YD T&C's apply. I've spoken to the skipper if the weather is too bad to dive then we don't pay. The boats are going to cost £550 per day each divisable by those booked on the trip, if we're short on numbers it could go up [prompted by Garf's problems in scapa].

Hi Dave

Thinks it's best I come along and keep an eye on Ian, Danny & Sally if that's ok?! Not sure I can trust the three of them to represent the club on their own!

Sounds like a fab trip, looking forward to it already

Cheers,
Cath

Accommodation

Hi Guys,

just researching accomodation, Ilfracombe is well served with holiday parks was thinking of booking a 4 caravans. The cost of which is likely to work out about £30 per diver for the weekend.

proposed site is here http://www.tarkapark.com/ they are also a camp site for those of you who want to be damp 24 hours a day!

please let me know if you would be interested in taking up this option.

Dave
