First Dive

Hazel, any idea on the depth for the first dive, just for the purpose of getting my cylinders filled next week.

Unless we're able to fill them on the boat once we get there?

Well, less than a week to go and I'm now officially excited and have started to sort out my kit.

Step one has been to remove the three-week old banana from my spares/tool box and I'm now looking to pack a really long book for the pot.

Anyone else started to prep?

Managed to get hold of a decent little camera yesterday and taking on-land pics of anything and everything; also got a little book of hints and tips. I haven't done underwater photography for over 2 years, so a bit rusty, but am hoping for this trip!

My drysuit has been in for pressure testing and repairs, so that's ready!

See you all up there!

Wednesday is the day i've set aside to get ready. Just got two more days to work and screw the rail network around Manchester up and then two weeks off. Need to pick up my new torch as my Light Cannon as given up on me after six and half years, get some gas and sort out pick up time for puddlediver and co.

Drinks Friday night in Thruso anyone?

Am leaving my gas filling until get up there. Got nightmares of valves undoing or something going then losing all the gas in the car, and not being able to get the cylinders in time!

We'll be up for drinks, all being well.
