| SCAPA VIRGINS / SLAPPERS 2008 10th - 15th AUGUST After spending the best week ever up in Scapa last week on the MV Valkyrie, on the 2007 Scapa Virgins trip, I'm itching to get up there again! Trip report here to see what it's all about Chatting to Hazel on the last day she said that she wasn't going to organise a Virgins trip for 2008 due to the amount of work involved. I'm sure I'll find out exactly how true this is but as I've enjoyed it so much I wanted to make sure that another introduction trip was available for those who think that the trips are all going to be full of tech'd up super deep divers. This simply isn't true and I was pleasantly surprised during my trip that there was LOADS of stuff for people happier in <30m waters (even the massive wrecks sitting in 46m still come up to the mid-20's to allow for some exploring!) The vis was also fantastic this last week. Better than everything I've done on the South Coast this year. It's not all deep, dark and scary! So I hope that this encourages some people who have always fancied a look up there but have been too worried about it to feel a bit more comfortable to realise that dream. Of course the trip is also open to Scapa Slappers who just fancy some fun diving the flow on a fantastic boat (WITH DIVER LIFT!!!) MV Valkyrie Until earlier today there was one week spare in August on this very popular boat... Now they are fully booked from Mid-May to the end of September! The week of the gig is Sunday 10th - Friday 15th August with 2 dives on each of those days (weather dependant of course.) Dives will be based on the group's level but aim to include the wrecks of the German fleet. Air fills are free and nitrox is available and tanks are filled on board where you sit. The cost of the week will be £237.50 including accommodation, in the Valkyries roomy bunks - 2 to a room, and breakfast. (Lunch is a fantastic and approximately an extra £4/5 per day) A deposit of £50 will be required to secure your space. 1. Big_Si 2. weazelz 3. Helen 4. Total Wreck (Kar Ling's pal mentioned on previous thread) 5. MARTY C 6. Lazlo 7. Kate 8. StuartC 9. Andrea's Space - Steve S CONFIRMED 10. MCFastyBloke 11. Fish 12. Principia SUBS 1. TheHuntsman81 - confirmed for dates if anyone has to drop out. The small print As a result of this year's shenanigans I have to point out that should all the spaces not be filled the cost will be split between the remaining folks. Should someone drop out after their deposit is paid all efforts will be made to replace them but if the space cannot be refilled they are responsible to cover the cost of their space.

Just had confirmation from Hazel that it works out at £237.50 each (plus a little extra for lunches) and I've updated the original post with the details. Deposit needed to secure place. Cheers, Si
