Just spotted this. From 14th June the peak-season timetable applies and the 12:00 sailing becomes 13:15

Any thoughts on where people are staying on the Friday night? I was thinking of the Weigh Inn since I've stayed there before.

Cheers,
Simon

Mark,
just wanted to clarify something - the first post seems to suggest we'll arrive at Stromness but leave from Kirkwall, is this still the plan or have things changed? Just want to check for the ferry ticket.

Cheers,
Simon

When I looked at that I took it to mean they were additional sailings, rather than alternative times. Seemed to make sense with it being 'peak'. I've not booked yet though as I'm still waiting for people to let me know if they want containers or not. I'll check it when I book in the next week or so.

As for the return ferry, it will be from Stromness. If, due to the weather, we finish the week in Kirkwall then Hazel is going to sort out transfer by taxi to Stromness for us.

I've been advised that there may be a space going spare on this trip - though not confirmed yet.

If anyone is interested please let me know.

Unlikely unless there are two 16:45 sailings

Just been to the Northlink Ferries site - if you try and book for the 28th, you're given the following options:

Departure list (Scrabster-Stromness)
Sa 28/06/2008 08:45(10:15)MV Hamnavoe
Sa 28/06/2008 13:15(14:45)MV Hamnavoe
Sa 28/06/2008 19:00(20:30)MV Hamnavoe
Su 29/06/2008 12:00(13:30)MV Hamnavoe
Su 29/06/2008 19:00(20:30)MV Hamnavoe
Mo 30/06/2008 08:45(10:15)MV Hamnavoe
Mo 30/06/2008 13:15(14:45)MV Hamnavoe
Mo 30/06/2008 19:00(20:30)MV Hamnavoe

No 12:00 sailing in there for the Saturday, so I'd say its the 13:15 - which I'm glad about since I'd booked the ticket before checking times on here

Okay, that's 2 people who have had to drop out of this trip. I'm sure neither would like to poy for a trip that they can't go on so it would be nice if we can find someone to take their places.

Perhaps with two spaces there's a buddy pair who may like to come along now?
