We went out assuming that we wouldn't be able to dive it either and when we arrived the guides confirmed this. But at the end of the second day the capt received a radio message that the area was now open so we headed straight up there. It came as a very welcome surprise.

Just returned from the same itineary did the Rosie twice! No problem with the military - checked with HEPCA before we went - all OK.

Had a great trip on Blue Melody with Blue O 2 - did all 20 dives!

See the bloke driving the boat here:

That's the bugger that filled my wetsuit boots with icy water and kept tying me to the bench. But that's ok cos I found him a nice pair of 2nd hand jeans on the barge dive.

The bugger threw me in the sea the other day.... just because a couple of us picked up the dive deck showers and put them to good use! Boat excellent (except for the lethal door handles on the lower deck companion way), crew great - we had different guides than you guys did - and the weather was mostly OK.

we couldn't dive any of the abu nuhas wrecks except one dive on the giannis D because it was too windy.

Still in sharm atm at probably the most horrid hotel ever, but at least there is internet access! Will do a propr trip report in a few days.

If it was the one at the top of the hill it got a booking in Captain Spankys Little Yellow Naughty Book for "having accurate air conditioning temperature controls". We set it to "super cold" before leaving for a wander round not believing its 10 degree setting.

Came back to a room so cold we had to open the patio door to let some of the heat in.
