I understand that Nitrox is about £85.00 for the week and tips around £40.00. Is this about right? Just thinking about how much cash I need to get out, and I presume it's all ok to pay in Egyptian?

Nitrox was £60 last year - hopefully somebody who has been out already can confirm this.
Tips - £40 is about right.

Don't forget that all beer/alcohol has to be paid for.

Sterling was prefered or US$

Regarding liquids etc in hand luggage, does this go so far as toothpaste, deodarants etc..? as my main bag is chocca!

Rather than take the liquids /paste through customs why not buy new stuff when in the departure lounge?.
