| Red Sea Liveaboard - Feb 08 I'm arranging a Red Sea liveaboard trip for Feb next year. Dates will be 23rd Feb - 1st March and will be on MV Whirlwind, the newest of the Tony Backhurst boats. Detai;s of the boast are here Tony Backhurst Scuba - Travel - Red Sea - Whirlwind ![]() We will be doing the wrecks and rerefs itinery but with a focus on wrecks. So we will be doing the Ghiannis D, Carnatic, The Thistlegorm, Ulysses, and the Rosie Moller as well as potentially some others. Ghiannis D ![]() Thistlegorm ![]() Details of the itinery are here Tony Backhurst Scuba Travel - Itineraries - Wrecks and Reefs The cost will be £895, this is all inclusive so that includes flight, transfers, accomodation food, soft drinks, weights and cylinders. The only things not included are visa, tips, beer and Nitrox. Visa is £10, Tips are £30 - £40 each, Beer is about £1.50 – £2 a bottle, Nitrox is £80 for the week (for 32%). BSAC members can get 10% off this price. Dives will be suitable for anyone from AOW upwards. I will be running an Advanced Nitrox and Deco Procedures course as well as an Advanced Wreck course during the week but you are welcome to just come along and dive. *1. Mark Powell *2. Weazelz *3. | It looks like I may also be doing some BSAC Dive Leader training during the trip. So if you are trying to finish of your DL skills then this might be a good opportunity.

| Still spaces on this. I've been asked about the depths on this. You can really take your pick. There will be plenty in less than 30m but with the option to go a bit deeper if qualified. There will be plenty of single tank recreational divers on the boat as well as some twinset divers so all are welcome.

When we did Suez Wrecks in October, we just informed the guides that we were going to twin-up to do the Rosalie Moller, no problems. There were plenty of spare 12L cylinders as twelve of the seventeen were using 15L cylinders (£25 extra). We only twined-up as we were doing the engine room, and switched back to 15L after the 3 dives on RM - could probaly done the 2nd & 3rd dives with a 15L anyway. We ( Sandra & Tony) hope to be on this trip, just waiting to confirm holiday changes at work. Tony. |
