| May I be so bold as to present a trip report..... Friday 4th Arrive at Lochaline at 12.30pm after 9 hour trip in Marks Dive Bus, Accommodation is functional and rooms are allocated ,,meet Joe and Mike Clarke the photographer. Down at the jetty for ropes off at 3pm,, Marks got his dads suit!!!!!!!! after some frantic phone calls ,wifey agrees to meet him with suit at Stirling for a night of Luurv..what a diamond !!! Dive the Grey Rocks for a shakedown, seemed to go ok, viz..3meters Go to hotel for Guinness pie and chips with Guinness,,,,,then bed to listen to the Uni lot having a last night of mischief,,,bless em !! Saturday 5th Mark makes it back from Stirling for the 9am ropes off with his own suit,,and a smile,, Others have arrived and join the boat.. Dive the Hispania,, Excellent dive ,,except Mark floods Veecam at 16 metres,,,Smokin !!! Viz..8mtres ,, Second dive on the Thesis,,, again good dive ,,very scenic,, viz..5meters Return for an evening meal of Gammon and chips with Guinness,,we are invited to view Mike Clarke,s excellent pictures of the day, down at the old Post office.. Sunday 6th Cooked breakfast and off to dive the Rhonda,, Mark needs a 35 meter + dive so it's done and most enjoyed but Joe's Pair got dragged off the wreck early on in the dive so she was a bit pissed..viz..5meters. Second dive done on the John Preston reef, a slate wreck with a good wall and a shelf at 20 meters of Welsh roofing slates...lots of interesting beasties around,,,viz 4 meters. Third dive of the day is the scallop run near the Thesis,,bit sparse as the uni lot had previously picked over the site,, tried between 2 and 12 meters and maybe managed a dozen between us..viz..1-4 meters Dinner at the hotel again,, Haddock and chips with Guinness!!! Monday 7th Cooked breakfast again and ropes off at 0830,,dive the Shuna ,,,silty but some excellent life on the hull..viz..2meters+dark. Second dive done at the Thesis again,,nice relaxing dive,,viz..3 meters and back to the showers by 1300hrs to leave Lochaline by 1530hrs and head home.. Thanks to Joe for her most efficient organisation skills and to the most proficient Skipper of the Peregrine .......Alan Thanks also to Simon,,,AKA Mr Incredible,,, for explaining the insides of his Inspo for us For the record..... Corran Ferry cost £6.50 each way Friday's dive cost £15 Lunches £5 each day ...Rolls,goodies and soup with a most excellent walnut cake on Sunday !! Air fills on the boat regardless of size.. £3.50 All round a damned fine weekend I would say !!!! Timbo Piccy's to follow.......????
