Exmouth - Mon 14 Tue 15 July 2008 - The Medina

Location : Exmouth

Dates : Mon 14 Tue 15 July 2008

Boat : WC IV (Richard Tibbs)

Depths : 45-65m

Diving : The Medina

I’ve secured Richard Tibbs and 'WC IV' for this trip to dive the great wreck of the liner The Medina. For people who don't know 'WCIV', his current boat, it was 'Endeavour' but it has undergone a refurb & refit and will be a bit quicker & a bit more practical. The boat normally carries an additional crew member to help with kitting up/safety/making the tea.

Long run times as its the very best neap tides of the month. Ideally all gases for the two days should be brought with you.

The cost is £90 for the two day charter. Half taken on deposit of putting your name forward, the balance a month before the trip.

Usual YD trip rules apply, if you book on and confirm by deposit, its your responsibility to pay or fill the space with a suitably qualified and experienced person.

I've seen the changes to the hull/prop/rudder arrangement on WCIV and they look like a great improvement to what was there before. Ceratinly Rich seemed very happy with them.

Side door now fitted too. He was thinking of changing the lift motor - can't see if he has done this yet. The old one managed to get Gary up so I suppose it is OK (people in glass houses etc...)

Don't wrestle with a pig. You'll only get as dirty as the pig & the pig likes it
