| On Friday, we went to platform under number 2 bouy. The viz t forst was about half a metre, and after 20 minutes of skills & drill, it was down to about 6 inches.... and that is a blokes 6 inches The instructor dropped into the deep end to check out how it was up there and apparently it was awful at about 35, so on safety grounds he relocated the course. We went to Stoney and did the stuff you don't need the depth for, and the rest will be finished off when the viz recovers. The road is good, and will be much better when it is finished. Apparently it is now possible to get all the way down with a cup of coffee on the dash and not spill a drop. The road, some emergency work they had to do at teh top and the weather have (I believe) affected the viz and the crap just needs to sink and it will be fine again.

This is the worst viz that i can remember at the NDAC and its been cause by all the work that they have been doing on the road and the top end of the wall, where all the shite has been washed down into the quarry. this is slowly clearing up now though. If we have normal levels of rain the viz can still be good at this time of year especially in the deep bit, and the further you go away from the platform the better the viz.
