Today it was zero. When i say zero i mean - nothing - Training courses were being cancelled and me and Dave could look straight into each others salvo's from about a foot and see zilch

we lost each other other after about 2mins, but i still spent 47 happy mins at 26m in 8degrees with toasty hands and music banging out

ps. sun was shining so not such a bad day

ash
I was there and didn't see you. (On the surface either)

ash
I went down to 50 metres, was going further, but as Ash said the viz was the worst I have ever seen it. Even in the deeper end where you can generally get some decent viz it was only about a metre.

On a positive side Darren said they are allowed to put some stuff it the deep part now so long as it has the necessary risk assessments.

So we will have something to look at apart from rocks. mmmmmmm how about a tug boat.

Wouldn't have made any difference Dave, that's where I went and the viz was still shit. One metre max, you had to hug up to the wall or you would have had no reference point.

Steve

That is very interesting, I was chatting to him today and he said they are doing the shuttering for the new raod surface next week, and then laying the surface the following week.

So we can look forward to zero viz at 8 deg, a rutted near vertical track as an approach, and (if you're Steve anyway) grotty accommodation. Normally people pay me to dive in these conditions!

Hoping to bring new Sartek torch but won't expect too much if conditions can make Salvos looklike Beaver Novas!

Kiddng aside, let's hope for drier weather and improved viz
