Make the most of the Scallops - this time next year you might be breaking the law if you take any!

There will be spies on every headland from Manacles Point to St Anthony's, with special equipment to see what's it those goody bags of yours.

And if they catch you with any Scallops they'll take all your kit and give you a slap on the wrists.

You've been warned!

I'll check prices with Porthkerris - according to the website, they're £25 for a single dive, £40 for two in a day.

I'm up for it provisionally. It depends on what time i get down, but i am intending on leaving v early on friday, so should be ok

cheers, ant

Rock Island Bridge was crawling with sea ahres a couple of weeks back, so take your cameras if you dive it, just in case - don' focus completely on the scallops!

Oh, and I should have added a viz update. Dived Raglan last night on slack - viz about 3m, which is pretty poor, but remarkably good considering the battering we have had over the last 10 days or so. Fingers crossed for lighter winds and flatter seas over the next two weeks!

Thanks for the viz update As you say, fingers crossed! Before metcheck went down, it wasn't looking too bad - of course any forecasts that far out are not exactly reliable.

As for nudi's, I'm slugged out for the time being - I got various comments from certain people that I was more interested in the slugs than the metal in Scapa

Ahhh, but sea hares aren't technically nudibranchs

And of course, they are far more interesting than rusty metal anyway!
