Imported post Hello. Having just moved here, I am looking for someone to show me a couple local divesites, as I would prefer to do my first dives in a new place accompanied by someone who knows the site. Having read an article on St. Abbs, the story in the magazine stating that it has good shore diving of course appeals to my sense of time and economics as well as adventure. Problem is, for now, I dont have any weekends off for the foreseeable future. So If anyone needs/wants a buddy for any weekday dives, email me. Will also post this in the buddy thread. Thanks

Imported post Scott St Abbs is a great place to dive and will be a perfect introduction for you to our UK waters, that is as long as our weather allows it... theres loads of life and lots to see... vis permitting There is a local diveshop who have no problem in giving you a conditions/vis report if you ring them the day before you go..Scoutscroft Diving Centre 018907 71338 They hire equipment as well if you get stuck for anything DO NOT let Jay talk you into Stoney Cove, not unless the weather is against you anyway..... Jay get your arse up this way mate.... you'll have forgotten what salty water tastes like soon if you keep dipping into big holes in the ground... I'm seriously considering taking the day off work to join you boys if you do go... hmmmm now do I use up a holiday or chuck in a sicky??? ;) Dave

Imported post Hey, don't get me wrong! I LOVE St Abbs its just that I have to be in Coventry that evening so I thought ... Otherwise I'd be on the A1 heading north anytime. Once the weather improves I'll do a day trip to St Abbs no problem! Regards

Imported post I can't as I'm off to frigging Coventry AGAIN (also I'm skint!). Here's the telephone number of a great skipper if you want to do a boat dive instead of shore - his name is Billy and he runs a boat (and guesthouse right on the quayside). Tel (018907) 71288 Regards
