Bring a metal detector....

Honestly, hope either someone has handed it in, or it's left where it was lost.

If we can find it, that will be really cool!

See ya on Sunday Dave, and anyone else!

Cheers,
Lou

well, no one has popped over and said 'hi', but after spending a perishing hour behind the Stanny, still couldn't find it.

not as nerdy as that compass-on-a-stick contraption; a makeshift metal detector!

Talking

I was looking for my Metal Reel. We figured that a compass might be able to sort out rocks from ferrous material. so I fastened the wrist compass to a bit of wood I have in my car to hold my CCR upright At one point in the dive I was fiddling with the reel, and popped the stick under my arm. When I loked for it a minute later it was not there. It was very bouyant and must have risen to the surface. Minutes later the boat buzzed over head a few times, and then off again.

We got out -suitable cooled in the cold water, and popped off to the shop to see if anyone had handed in my reel (As if... !!) Nope!! came the reply. Then Louise asked .. oh have you had a stick handed in with a compass attached. The guy returned with the bit of wood and had a very quizzicle look on his face. Lousie grinned and said its our metal detector.. ..we're looking for the reel.. He musy have thought we were a couple of loons...!!

I'm headiong back next Saturday if anyone fances a bimble round the arse of the Stangarth/minis...

Wink We are a couple of loons

Dunno where the idea for the metal detector was from, but you will have to bungee it to your stage next time! The poor bloke behind the counter though I were going to whack him with it!
