i've organised a few trips and it always seems to be a nightmare with people swapping and changing i've been caught twice with non payers so demand money up front now

i'm using the ian@1904 model which seems to work well

it always seems to have been good mates who have let me down in the past

I always ask for money up front. Then if they drop out I'm not sweating.

For YD trips I generally try to just book myself and my buddy on, then tell people to phone the skipper themselves to book themselves on.

Yup, non returnable deposit, then full pament in advance by which time the pplace will be offered elsewhere if final monies not received unless I'm confident of receivong full monies....

If not, you will be let down at some point...
