| ss Cheshire - 12th Sept 2008 ss Cheshire built by John Fullerton & Company Paisley, Yard No 178 Engines by Ross & Duncan Propulsion: C. 2cyl Launched: Tuesday, 27 September 1904 Built: 1904 Ship Type: Steamship Tonnage: 633 grt Length: 178 feet Breadth: 29.1 feet Owner History: Steamship Cheshire Company (J.J.Mack & Sons), Liverpool Status: Went Missing After - 07/03/1922 ![]() DEPTH to seabed looks likely to be 65-67 metres on the chart, but certainly no shallower than 60 metres....... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well, this is a seldom dived wreck.In fact i know of only 1 visit to this wreck. The bell was recovered on the first dive, by Teresa Telus and Kevin Pickering etc .... Cheshire We will be going from Exmouth, using Rich Tibbs on WeyChieftain IV on Friday 12th Sept 2008. Ropes off will be 10:30 to 11 ish at the moment, but definate times will be confirmed nearer the time. Cost is no more than £60 per person (due to distance etc) based on 10 on the boat. Very little is known about the ship or wreck. All we know is that she went missing after passing the Lizard and was never seen again, until that dive...... These are the names from the original list so far in order.
