Bad news guys.

I have just spoken to our friends about the cottage.  You may have noticed from one of Gav's earlier posts that the cottage had been booked, but that it was cancelled and we could therefore have it.

Well, apparently it wasn't actually cancelled, the people who'd booked it just hadn't sent in their deposits. Yesterday the deposit arrived in the post - first come first served - and we lose out.

I am now out of ideas/alternatives - unless anyone has a better one?  Perhaps we could re-arrange in the new year?
Fi

Well sometime in the New Year would suit me better, plus I'm planning to be in the lakes for a day or two at New Year with some mostly non-diving mates (well, one is a diver) and will be staying at some nice apartments near Grange-in-Borrowdale (IIRC) so could ask about prices and availability if that would be useful ?

For a bargain break we could always try the youth hostel at Wastwater, stayed there last year for about £10 a night, its handy for training weekends, big lounge with roaring log fire, don't think it's smoker-friendly though (IIRC).

Hi, I`m new to this forum so please be gentle with me!
FI, you have my sympathies, I`m the wally that arranges everything down here = Stanmore, outer suburb of London or just outside of Hertfordshire,(sounds better).
Does Bren appear on every forum??
Just a thought, how about arranging the xmas do south of watford = warmer, better beer, speak english, more expensive etc.etc.
Will be driving up north Aug 03 to dive sound of mull, Scapa and Franes on return journey, please advise on passports/visa`s required.
Bring it on!!!
Dive safe
Howard.

Hey Howard,

Welcome to the boards mate. Do I appear on every forum? I have moments....

Seriously though, feel free to get in amongst anything we're doing dive-wise at any given moment and don't be affraid to suggest a troop dive sometime.

Quick favour? Please can I ask you to do a brief intro (other than above) in the intro section?? Just where you dive, what goals and aspirations you might have in diving etc??

Cheers and welcome again,
