How do you fund your habit?
As I am the only one I know locally who dives and works in IT, I wondered if certain careers were more popular than others with divers.....

A colleague who also worked in IT (although she was a Technical Author rather than a Software Engineer) got me into diving. A vast majority of the other members of my club work at Boots, or did work at Boots before the mass redundancy.

I work in IT but I'm the only IT person in the office which dives; the others seem to spend their weekend playing online games and watching StarTrek!

Yep, I can realte to that!
Typical Scenario: Friday lunchtime in the pub - 'So, what you all got planned for the weekend?'

Me: 'Gonna dive some wreck again on Sunday'
Colleague: 'Sounds NICE. I'm gonna have a game of UT 2004 online tonight, probably spend Saturday configuring the dual boot system I have installed with Linux and messing with the Kernel...................'

You're lucky you even get them down the pub! My lot are too busy downloading the latest Fedora Core ISOs to leave their desks for a drink and a bit of socializing!
