And it was then that I noticed that one of the big lads with Dinsdale was, indeed, the Chief Constable for the area - so they chained me to the back of his tank and took me for a scrape round to Doug's place.

Course, He didn't want to nail my head to a coffe table - I had to insist!

I used to shoot a lot, mostly rabbits & pidgeon. Since becoming a father, my heart wasn't in the killing any more!

People still wanted me to carry on and bring the game back for them, however, I lived on the premise that I only ever shot what I would eat!

Since I wasn't eating it was pointless to continue shooting, that sadly applied to fishing also!

Don't kids just change you?

I went hunting a few times when I lived in the US. It was something I'm glad I did, can't say I enjoyed it or would go out my way to do it again though. I'd worry about anyone that enjoyed killing animals (especially also if they wet the bed and started fires too). Hunting is the easy bit, gutting and skinning it is the difficult part, especially something big like a deer but I wouldn't eat anything I wasn't willing to prepare myself.
