I was born in Sheffield but spent most of my formative years in Hull (the one on the East coast of Yorkshire). I'm now living in London and, much as I like London, can't wait to get back up there over Chrimbo and buy a couple of pints and some crisps and still get change from a fiver.

I'm off to the other Hull (on the Sinai peninsular) next week and I hear that the exchange rate has gone through the roof there (10LE to £1) so maybe the beer will be even cheaper over there (although you can;t get a proper pint of course)

Laters,

Someone please make up their minds where Brum sits in this row. I'm starting to feel more than a little isolated.

Having said that, as far as I am concerned, you can cut the cancerous little craphole out of the middle of england, lash it to Wales and cast the whole lot adrift into the middle of the Atlantic.  And before anyone starts, I can say what I want, I live there
<font color='#000F22'>You northerners can keep brummies, suggest you take them and the scousers &amp; ship them to Ireland.

We WELSH certainly do not want your leftovers, we've already been saddled with &quot;is he - isn't he&quot; with the footman Charlie.

We even had to construct dams, flooding gods country to provide those brummies with water to keep them at bay.

Not really Mark,

He built it in the wrong place. &nbsp;Just South of Birmingham would have been better.

Typical.

Sub out a bit of simple contract work to Johnny Foreigner and he cocks it up. Tsk

if you want to settle the arguement once and for all, South Yorkshire (my home county) is the best place in england to live. my proof from a book in waterstones, the 100 worst towns and cities in the UK.

Sheffield, Barnsley, Rotherham, Doncaster and Chesterfield all escaped the top50 IIRC.

for capernwray regulars, morcambe came 3rd (needless to day after 3 weekends stopping in morcambe we shall no more, they all have webbed fingers, and play the banjo)

and Hull was no.1!

apart from these 2 weird places, all the other 48 were southern towns i think (southern from me is south of the trent...)
