The great sunday roast debate - roast spuds
HWMBO cooked sunday dinner yesterday and i'm a little particular about how my roasties are cooked.

I say, boil them first, shake them in the tray to roughen the edges and then put them in the pan aroung the roast and baste with oil all over. Then whilst the roast is cooking turn the spuds regularly.

He says, put them straight in the tray cover in oil and leave.

So i want to know
a, i'm right
b, he's wrong
c, what you lot do

You are right. No doubt. Gives the best roast spuds, nice and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.

His way gives the "heavy ammo" variety.

They say that bacon is the food of the gods but roast spuds are the food of Chronos himself.

However, they MUST be parboiled beforehand. Anything else is heresy. Hot oil is important too.

easy parboil, slap in plastic bag with oil and herb mix, wap in oven (taking them out of the plastic bag first) around roasting thingy.
