I get taxed on a portion of the money they give me about £ 60.00 ish per month, all insurance, road tax and tyres are in the deal.
Then I get 15p per mile for fuel, so I only have to do 35 ish to the gal to break even.

Similar for me - my Pathfinder is a company car They just uplift my salary by a fixed amount, then I get income taxed on that. But I have to pay for my own insurance / servicing etc.. if I do it that way. 13p per litre, but I can claim the difference between 13p and 40p per litre back from the tax man

I can go for a lease car, but if I do it via the company I lose the benefit and end up with a tax bill, and in the long run it ends up more expensive.

But the £400 road tax this year, along with the cost of diesel is making me think twice when I can get away with using the Audi.

Ive got a 1.9TDI passat estate 56 plate. Its a bit slow at accellerating but a bloody good car. Does 45mpg on the motorway. I expect the blue motion one should be quite a bit better too. Agree about the stupid electronic handbreak though. Ok once you get used to it ! Can fit shed loads of dive kit in it.

Go for a Skoda. Same engines as the VW's and Audi's but more car for your money. The Octavia came top in a recent owner satisfaction survey and a favourite with taxi drivers for their reliability.

I think the build quality of my Audi is supurb, bairing in mind the way it gets driven and what it carries it still does not rattle or knock at all.

I had a golf before and the thing rattled and the interior creaked, as with all of the vw's that my mates have in the company.

I havent brought myself to have a go in a Skoda so I cant say from 1st hand experiance about them.

Orders in for another Avant A4, and Ive never had the same car twice before, 3.0 tdi this time though so no Skoda RSV is passing now.
