A guy on the DIR UK boat used to add it up and then divide it by minute of bottom time. Ouch - la la la - I'm not listening!
Yeah, but divide that by two - didn't you do a drift afterwards

Halving the cost to make it per dive

Hardboat about £20, £6 for a nitrox fill, £4 to park, fuel depends but a coastal trip about £20 so still about £50 min

Adding somewhere to stay £££££

I reckon all in it costs me about £100 a day.. for a two dive day.. so £50/dive

Petrol: £25
Boat: £40
Breakfast and snacks for the way home: £15
Gas: £10
misc rubbish: £10 - unless I go to Portland when the lure of shopping might be more than the trip price

Yeah, but I find that as I've done more diving, I'm less inclined to kit up again for a scabby drift, so often don't do the second dive, especially if the first one's been a big one.

So £40 for the boat, about £30 for the petrol, £8-£60 for gas, £25 minimum for B&B.

AS mentioned earlier the cost per dive would depend on whether I do one or 2 days.

However on the assumption that it is a 2 day trip then if I include (Boat, B&B, Food & Drink, Fuel, Bridge Toll, Gas & Lime) then for the 2 days I would spend about £240, so that is £120 per dive.

If I travel down to do just one days diving and can avoid a B&B, food and beer etc, due to having a late start, then the cost of the one dive would be about £102

Steve
