Morning all,

Since the death of my beloved in car minidisc player I have started listening to the radio in a vain attempt at easing the boredom of spending at least 3 hours in a car driving to work and back and I've fallen into the trap of radio 2 (resistance is futile   ) and the only reason to R1 is being assasinated on Friday

What's your favourite?

Cheers all,

Noel

<font color='#000080'>Around the North West it's got to be 105.4 Century FM. Best selection of music on any station and good DJ's. They also do a football phone-in every evening and Derek Hatton does shows at the weekend. Bizzare!

<font color='#736AFF'>I'm either a Magic or Virgin listener, but then again I'll sometimes listen to Capital 95.8, all depends on what time or the day it is.

Virgin for me too. &nbsp;I have to admit that my car radio is broken (and has been for about 2 years), so I it's either Virgin radio if I'm going below 40mph (can't hear it above that speed) or one of my three tapes (Black Crowes/Tesla/Aerosmith).

Around the house it's either Virgin or 5 Live.

dan.

In the car, Virgin 90% of the time interspersed with: a bit of Century for when Virgin DJs are talking too much, a bit of R4 for the comedy, and a bit of Classic FM to reduce stress in gridlock situations. At work Radio 2 (AM signals don't get through the building structure), R&quot; has a kicking playlist, loads of classic rock
My car tape player is knackered too, if you stick a tape in you can't eject it and can't listen to the radio, I spent three months listening to &quot;Parachutes&quot; by Coldplay until I had to dismantle the entire dashboard to remove the tape player &nbsp;

<font color='#000F22'>BBC Radio 4 or 5 Live. I'm sometimes forced to listen to BBC Radio Scotland for work purposes.

Just a suggestion - when I'm driving abroad (ie not over here, cos that'd be illegal, right?) I use my iPod with a Griffin iTrip attached. Transmits on the same freqs as my car radio receives, so just tune it in and - wahey - 240odd albums (and counting) on tap.

Though I do listen to R4 in the morning on the off-chance of getting to listen to John Humphries verbally eviscerating some lying mealy-mouthed bastard policitician, which happens refreshingly often. &nbsp; Also the comedy shows in the evening (where we got Dead Ringers and Little Britain from).

<font color='#000080'>BBC London, good discussion and thought provoking stuff, John Gaunt usually gets the blood racing - very much like YD in some respects although not as polite!
Virgin or Capital if I want some music.
Minidisk though intercom headset on the bike.

<font color='#0000FF'>Noel, I am sure you have been a radio 2 listener for much longer than you are letting on.  I seem to remeber hearing Sarah Kennedy reading something out you sent in about dolphins and honeymoons, am I correct or is there another one of you about.

As for me I started listening to radio 2 just over 12 months ago, my favourite DJ from 1152 disappeared and I disliked the guy with the manc accent they replaced him with.  Now I am radio 2 through and through, start just before 6am and end up going to bed with Richard Allinson.   (I wish)

Oh, forgot can't stand all those bloody adverts for loan and accident insurance
