    Showers - long or short?

    My wife finds it a constant source of amusement at how long I can spend in the shower, and no, there's nothing going on in there but washing, and there isn't THAT much of me!

    If I have the time (ie. not getting ready for work) can happily spend 30 minutes under a shower pondering life, the universe and everything.

    So...as YD polls should be recognised by scientific bodies as being totally representative of the population at large, I thought I'd see how long others take.

    I do like to stand in the shower for a while it's mine and i'll wash it as fast as i like However there isn't normally enough time in the day

    I like to stay in the shower for as long as poss, but am govened by how much hot water there is!!

    Yes Steve but the OP was talking about domestic showers, like in the bathroom ,not the local car wash . Mind for £5.60 it probably saves you a fortune on water .

    Seems to be the opposite in our house, I'm a quick in and out person SWMBO takes forever in there and if she washes her hair there's always a localised hosepipe ban to allow the reservoirs time to refill!!!

    I would love to spend a long time in the shower, but it's a quick splash in the morning and again at night if I have been to the gym.

    The best shower ever was in the house where I grew up. It was a huge cast iron bath with an enclosed shower canopy at one end. The shower enclosure had tiny holes around the side for a body spray, bigger holes in the ceiling for a shower, and a big hole in the centre for a 'douche' - a single jet of water that fell quickly and heavily on your head - certainly woke you up. I could spend all day in there - or at least 'til the hot water ran out!

    I've heard since he got stuck in the car wash and banned, he has to use a truck wash

    I'm a quick in and out kind of guy and it must be a Derbyshire Lady kind of thing, because Tracy and number one Daughter can spend days in the shower
