    Question Diving and showers...how soon?

Ok, you are doing some 30m-ish diving, maybe a little deco. You surface, feel fine. How long do you leave it until you jump in the shower if you are on a liveaboard?

Hot showers immediatley after diving are supposed to be not too good for you, due to releasing nitrogen stored in the skin. I found this out the hard way, but i do remember it being taught by my BSAC club. What do you do?

if the water pressure is below 1 bar in the shower and you are not at altitude you can do a shallow shower for no more than 12mins for every 1 hour surface interval.
don't go for it solo unless you have a death wish
    less is more.

Shower? On a dive trip? Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

Personally, I don't come up cold, and don't shower hot. If I do come up cold I get into warm dry clothes and get warm before I go anywhere near hot baths or showers.

In a shower on your own is a great place to collapse after a dive and no-one know you're there for quite a while.

Best option is either shower in the morning, or shower when you get home form the pub. But you do need everyone to play by the same rules, otherwise you go to the pub and they won't go near you.

    Digs.
