I tend to find it goes off what im thinking about.

My rods are "pro" ones - they have a plastic tube for the bit you hold. You cant make them swing (or it is really obvious because you tilt them downwards).

I dunno about finding the wrecks through all that water. I will have to think about big hunks of rusty metal!

Clive Cussler has looked for and found hundreds of wrecks. I believe I read that he has tried most technics even hiring a medium and psychics to advise were wrecks are located. He says that he is willing to try anything but as yet no wrecks have ever been found on his searches using the methods I have mentioned.

It would be good if it did work and in fact locate a new wreck or two.

Let us know how you get on.

Jamie

It's worth pointing out the Randi is a very forthright sceptic and the site is accordingly slanted. Some say he is a bigger fraud than those he tries to defraud.

In any case I think it is self evident that the dowser is moving the rods or pendulum, otherwise it would move all by itself. The point is supposed to be subconscious control of the timing.

Porg,

It's all waste of time but then I would say that, being a scientifficy minded sort of person.

Unless you enjoy it of course.

Erm, i got a degree in a science based subject. Got about 10 years worth of new scientist at me mums house!

Me dad is the biggest sceptic alive, but claims to have seen ball lightening and years ago (as in 1950's) he used to be welll into astronomy. He saw something waaaay up tracking in a straight line, stop, and then turn 90 degrees and carry on. It just looked like the light from a star.

Just because im into science, does not make me think there is an answer to everything. Maybe some things just happen.

Wotcha.

I'm afraid that's not a very scientifficy thing to say. Everything happens for a reason. Even Quantum.

Or maybe we just havent found out why they happen. Just because we dont know why, doesent take away the fact they they do occur.
