O2 Sensors from Germany?

Hi Folks,

anyone ever used IT Wismar for O2 sensors? I am told they are cheaper than most suppliers and I know someone who uses them in his Mk15.5.

Interestingly Martin Parker put some stuff on the Inspiration remailer on the subject showing that he views these cells as unsafe as the YBOD requires a faster response rate or it overshoots. They can still be reading what happened a half minute ago when the loop is actually hitting 2 bar.
I think the factory approved Teledyne cell has a 6 seconds response time.

Good luck if you can get hold of them. I was directed to their UK distributor in Coventry and got no response.

I heard from the Dive-Oz forum that they had shipped a duff batch but this has now been resolved.

I use Analytical Industries sensors from GOTEC at £30 a pop - or 2nd hand Inspiration ones if I'm feeling tight. Most YBOD divers chuck 'em away while they're still good.

Are AP agents for Teledyne cells? [cynical mode] The IT data sheet lists it as less than 12s response time, the data sheet also lists it as suitable for the KISS and Inspiration.

I contacted IT's agents in Coventry, Omni Products (02476 225757) and got the following:

D-01 £19.44 + VAT (Equivalent to R17D)
D-05 £28.93 + VAT (R22D)

That's quite a cost difference. I might replace one of the Teledyne R17Ds in my RB with an IT sensor and see how it compares.

Should be alright for analysers though.
