Home made booster?

Right guys, I know there are some very clever home builders on this forum. Somebody must be able to point me in the right direction here. I want to build an O2 booster, I have the Airspeed press book on low cost boosters and recon I could do it but know that there will be a lot of hassle and wasted parts in the process. The question is: Have any of you done this already? If so what did you use? Did you have parts custom made etc? What would be nice is a shopping list for the necessary parts and the rated performance of the assembled unit. Ready made boosters are the business but the cost is horrendous for what they are. It’s bad enough paying what we do for the RB’s but getting shafted on the booster as well is a little hard to swallow.

i tried the homebuild route and although the booster worked ok i never felt comfortable using it.if you can make the show come over and have a look look at a new range of boosters and 60% nitrox compatable compressors we are launching.

Can't make the show Barrie, how much are we talking about for your equivalent of the Jetsam baby booster?

If you can get hold of them (the phrase hen's teeth springs to mind) the hand cranked ones can be had for not too much money. They sometimes come up in military surplus sales.

I will post the details after the show as we are launching the booster with a compressor range and blending system at the show!!
