Question Chasey's new HUD

Hey Mark how are you getting on with Uri’s HUD? Any chance of some pictures with the hole drilled in the lid and the connector fitted, or of how the unit connects to the O2 cells? After reading your previous reasoning on why you decided to go this way I find I have to agree. As soon as reel comes out checking the handsets is a bit of a pain. Any extra info on it’s set up or performance will be greatly appreciated.
I was going to PM you with this but thought there may be others interested as well.

Dave.

I've got no bleeding idea how to effectively add piccies to a reply, so have bunged a load of screengrabs taken by camcorder onto the YD photo gallery- http://www.yorkshire-divers.co.uk/ga...Uri-Barans-HUD . Sorry it's a bit grainy, the cam don't do megapixels

The pictures are of my pre-prod unit using Fischer connectors and the ThrobinEvans MKI HUD bracket, but it's pretty similar to the production ones.
How to use it...... Turn HUD on. Calibrate the YBOD - when it goes BEEEP (calibrated), press the calibrate button on the HUD. Job jobbed.

EDIT - Oh yeah, mine's worked a treat at depths from 1-70m including yesterday at 40-odd. Just realised one of the great features is you can't accidentally forget to change set-point when you get to your target depth either, cos the LED's blink green instead of showing solid green.

Thanks Rob,
This looks great I like the idea of having the LED’s blink if you forget to change set point. The more I hear about this the more I want one. Looks like another Christmas present I’ll have to buy myself.

Do you use yours with a VR3? I will want to take advantage of this option.

That’s an absolutely brilliant sig as well pal.

Dave.

Hi Dave,
I don't use mine with a VR3- haven't bothered with a 4th cell- though the facility does exist on the unit, I believe Chasey's got his plumbed in.

Cheers
Rob
