On the decanting liscense piece... Ah that makes some sense...

Are you going to get an agreement with them then?

I'm in the process of building a mixing panel for Air, Nitrox (ppMixing) and pure O2 and doing a proper plumbing job.

Now thinking that if I'm going to all that trouble might as well get the booster.

I've got the price list from Jetsam... but they are not making a batch at the moment... maybe a couple of months...

Divertec are meant to be launching one at the start of March (Irish Dive show).

I've had a chat with them and it sounds interesting... they don't want to give too much awat before the full product launch.

Not sure I'm too keen on ordering another product that hasn't yet been launched... You know what I mean Dave!!!!!!!!!!

I know JUST what you mean. I'm going to hold myself to decanting for a bit, I reckon with 2 supply cylinders I should get about 20 >140 bar fills for a 2lt. That makes if difficult to justify the extra for a pump. However, I would find it hard to resist a clever, neat, small and reasonably priced toy, if one became available! I am a bloke after all.

Just waiting for the BOC paperwork to come through to set up the agreement. There wasn't much in the price, but they are closer for me, and seem to guarantee 230 bar.

Siebe Gorman OxyBooster...

Is this the hand pumped jobbie...

If so, how easy are they to overhaul?

Cheers

And does it use leather for piston seals and water for lubrication?. I don't really have enough technical background to comment, but this just scares me a bit!

yep it uses a leather washer and the piston and jacket is all brass.
it uses distilled water which is in the jacket around the piston for cooling.
there's a water seperator stack with a silica gel stack in the top before it goes out to the whip, safe as houses.
its single phase motor drives a serious reduction gear box to drive the piston NICE and SLOW.
we have a sheet of saddle leather salvaged off the S.S.Breda which gives us a life time of washers.
i've had it 4 years as we have 2 inspirations to feed.
its a nice simple machine of very high quality, dread to think what it would cost to produce today.
all the best elfyn
