Biomarine Biopak 60 conversion.

There appears to be limited information relating to this little fella on the net.
Anyone had any first hand experience? Are they worth converting or will it end up another it of junk in the garage?

hello mate i have been looking at these for a wile but the concencus is the bio60 isnt worth the bother much better to go for the bio240 as the 60 only has a scrubber good for 60mins hence bio 60

the guy who's selling all the bio60's has got 70 of them! the bio240 do come up for sale but you have to be quik as they dont hang around, i've seen 2 for sale this year and havent been able to get them.

by the way your ds4 plugs are in the post so should be with you tomorrow!
best regards john

I'd looked at them before but a few things put me off. Mainly the fact that it is a 60min dry land rated scrubber, seemed a lot of hassle for something that would maybe only do 40-50min in cold water. As I recall the hoses come out at the bottom of the scrubber and the case needs a lot of modding to get it over the shoulder. Biomarine (or Neutronics as they are now) make some good stuff but these are designed for hazardous atmosphere use, not underwater so how well parts survive in immersion I don't know.

Mark Munro of PPO2 meters fame (www.ppo2.com) did a BP60 conversion and wasn't overly pleased with the results, he's a very approachable guy if your serious about them.

The ad on e-bay said that shipping was free to the UK, but he pulled the ad when I asked him to confirm it. I didn't hear back from him. Still if I could get one for cheap then I might be tempted.
