Fitting an ADV flow stop

I am in the process to connect a flow stop to my ADV, have you cut down the hose the length of shut off valve ?

Don't cut it, just screw it all together and push any extra hose back into the case. Best not to cut anything off as you can't put it back and the extra hose length is not a problem.

Hi Pierre,

I do not use the flowstop on the ADV as I have had leaks on a number of the ones I have got for my students.

In fact I have one that is permanently closed that I fit to a students unit on their Mod 1 to simulate ADV failure and it leaks like a sieve.

I find it much simpler to shut-off the diluent cylinder in the event of a freeflow and hence do not bother with the flowstop.

I see the flowstop as a solution to a problem that does not exist.

However, I fully agree with Sandman. Do not shorten the hose just push the surplus back into the box, for the day when you realise I was right about it leaking and throw the feckin thing out!
