| I've got 1 but never needed to use it and don't want to either. If it develops any problems it will get binned but I can't see what could go wrong with it. Mine came fitted to the unit and has been on since new. Cheers

| I do not like them and believe they are the solution to a problem that does not exist. If you need to shut it off, use the diluent valve to do so. Cheers, Dave Cooper

| flow stop i use the flow stop all the time, in fact think it's a great idea. if the ADV free flows it will fill the lungs quickly and you will probably hit the surface before turning the valve off, cheers matt www.mrdiving.co.uk |

I had one of the first APD ADVs and it freeflowed, it was not a problem to dump the excess gas and I just turned off the dil.

| Nope Just something else to go wrong and add to the task-loading IMHO. Same as a reg on the O2 side. |

ADVs work well on descent, mine freeflowed on the bottom, once loop volume attained no problem. Also with your ADV now freeflowing you shouldn't need to manually inject, just crack the bottle open and closed..... Cheers, Dave Cooper.
