Never mind an engineer.

If the AP whip thingy hasn't got enough threads on the handwheel, the end of the bullnose won't seal on the valve.

I hit the same problem a few months ago, when I really needed to decant some He. My solution was to take a hack saw to the AP wheel and cut off about half the width. This then allowed the bullnose to seal.

So there must be two sizes...

Since mine screws pretty much right down on the 9 thread supply tanks I have I guess that means it wouldn't fit a 300bar.

I'll chase and try and get a 300bar J (well an A in APspeak) but I use so little gas these days it might be a while before I can justify it.
(Quick! Plan lots of diving!)

Also the bullnose filling adaptors that include a 2 micron bronze filter element required when filling higher oxygen concentrations. The little bronze filter element stops any particulate matter flying down the charging line, that cause all these fires.

The stems are threaded either 1/4BSP taper or 1/4NPT Taper for hard tube or pipe manifolds etc or 1/4BSPP parallel with the 60 degree cone seat for the flexible hose ends. The nuts are a 5/8 BSPP threaded but with different stem diameters to stop mix up. The adaptors are used to connect HP storage cylinders up to 414 barg and on the flexible filling lines.

Stems cost are £5.50 each, nuts are £2.50 each so £8.00 for the pair + VAT or £9.40 any pair with the VAT.

Bullnose Mr. (Decanto)whippy.

We'd just like to thank you all for your help with this and especially Mark G. for sending us FOC one of the parts we needed.

Thanks very much.
