| just relax and enjoy it. The theory's not exactly rocket science, and there's not really anthing new from nitrox. Your buoyancy will be cr@p so take plent of lead. Check that your drysuit feed is long enough to reach bearing in mind it comes from an inverted cylinder.

| What RB do you have? If you've not been to Scapa, Scapa Scuba do overnight suit repairs if you need them. The also make all manr of custome neoprene bits - protective covers for your handset(s) maybe? Go with and open mind and be prepared to lose all of the buoyancy skills that you're probably pleased with Also don't be surprised to think that you want to sling the bl00dy thing over the side and wonder what you've blown all that 'hard-earned' on by day 2 or 3. Read Mark Chase's 'confessions' post from the past day or two if you've not already. r Paul

| I did my tech nitrox with john in scapa before so i know how the water lies there,i have a ybod, which has just been sent up up there by parcel force and by some kind of miracle acctually appears to have landed in kirkwall which bodes very well for the course,as just using the mouthpiece and scrubber that are in my hand luggage might be quite difficult(still a little bit of gaffer tape and some tie wraps..........) |

But be careful about overweighting. I have found that I can drop 4kg compared to my OC kit. I was probably overweighted with my OC but that was OK for my photography. My buoyancy is all over the place. Sometimes I think I have it cracked only to start dropping. Then again I'm OK and I start ascending (albeit slowly) and I notice I have more that my minimum in the lung. I must stop those deep breathing exercises. ![]()

| But my experiences were: 1. Prepare for the worst dive of your life on the first go. 2. Trim is king 3. The Rebreather will be taking you for a diver for the first few days (to quote Aaron). 4. Relax, you won't be but the more you do the better it gets. 5. Practice those drills when your on land. Good luck, no bubbles is best and it's the only way to dive! FF |

| Well in all the years i have been diving this bit of kit has exceded all expectations, but i think my twin 15s are a bit over the top for bail out. In all seriousness i must thank John Thornton for a great course and i just hope the post office can now deliver the yellow goods back to me. |

Good to have met up and put face-to name! I got back yesterday morning after a great week without so much as a cell error. A really good relaxed time pottering around the wrecks, mainly the Markgraf - good viz apart from one dive when we'd obviously followed a herd of elephants onto the karlsruhe. Fi |

| Hi FI good to hear from you,my unit turned up yesterday so i wont talk about the post office anymore, strangely enough it cost 52 pounds to send up there but only 28 to come back, still i suppose you have to pay people less to come south into the sun. |
