| CCR TDI Courses Colin, Staying with TDI, MOD2 is the next course, Normoxic Trimix down to 60 mtrs 18 percent ppo2, at least that is what is stated on the ticket. I was informed that 100 hours were required after MOD1 before undertaking MOD2 but this does appear to be flexible based upon the quality of diving undertaken and how competent the instructor considers you are on the unit. I understand the next step after MOD2 is, not surprisingly, MOD3 which takes you down to 100mtrs using anoxic Trimix. Not sure what dives are required to be logged at MOD2. Hope it is not 100 hours of dives in 60 mtr range or it will take me forever to qualify for MOD3. |

The number of hours before TDI Mix Dil isn't flexible, that is the standard required, to vary from that means that you or your instructor are not meeting the required standards. (standards for TDI Inspiration Mix Dil are here) TDI Inspiration Training stacks up. 1) Inspiration Air Dil (5 minutes Deco, 40M Max) 2) Inspiration Air Dil + Deco Procedures (40M Max) 3) Inspiration Mix Dil (No OC Trimix Experiance - 60M Max) 4) Inspiration Mix Dil with 3 upgrade or previous OC experiance 100M Max) @Colin, there are no hours requirements for "Deco Procedures on an Inspiration" the course is the same as the OC, but you undertake it on your inspiration, inwater focus is on equipment rigging, dive planning, trim and bouyancy, you should be repeating all of your Air Dil skills, the performance requirements being higher. When you believe you're ready to undertake deco diving on your inspiration then you should do the course. /F

| Green Blob for applying that uncommon stuff on it's way - Or I would "You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to colinicky again." Not to depress everyone not diving in Florida for the next four weeks , but it's only five months until April. So absolutly ideal times for getting into those muddy pits and practising/maintaining skills, between weather/viz opportunities in the sea. I've already promised Grandpa Dude, that we'll be undertaking some steady workshops in Vobby, some of you have been part of the first stages. These will essentially be Twinsets, Inspirations and Submattix, core and rescue skills, 02 and first aid refreshers. Due to demand we'll also be undertaking the ocassional event at other sites - but that's another thread. If you want to come and join in the,.... erm "fun" - I'm sure that's the word I'm supposed to use, laugh and take the p1$$ out of each other and us, then I look forward to seeing you. Best /F
