hi

I think a bunch of us have commented on this before. There's little mileage in having a decompression dive planner that's depth limited to 21M. It doesn't allow us to compare the curves and runtimes to other dive applications for the type of dives that we need planners for, and few of us are going to trust our safety to an application we cannot rigorously test BEFORE we purchase it.

Make it time limited rather than depth limited and I'll test the hell out of it for you. Otherwise, it doesn't really engage me enough to even warrant downloading it.

I had a look at this and gave up on it for the reasons given above.

Looks a bit too pricey for what it is.

I'll be sticking to V-Planner

I've just purchased the 100meter version for windows and mac....bloody great software

Easy to use, clean interface, nice table printing and I like the gas mixing and filling feature.

I've been using the Hamilton model it is based on for a good few years, I like it and it gives a very nice curve when you have helium in the mix.

Full Version for Evaluation

Hi,
I know Joel at Tech Diving Limited pretty well... they are the distributors of the Nautilus Software in the US.
i asked him about the 21m demo version.
If you go to their site and 'purchase' a free demo version, it will run the full version for 30days....

That gives you a real chance to test the software before purchasing.
I used to distribute the Abyss Dive Planning software and I am now seriously considering picking Nautilus up and doing the same. From my prelimimary tests it looks pretty damn good...

Tech Diving Limited can be found at www.techdivinglimited.com

Hope that helps...

Andy

Joels not just the distributor!!!!!!!!.......... he developed it!!!
The early Alpha and Bta versions that he had me testing were pretty flakey but I really like the software.
I've been using it for several months now and I gotta say it's easier to use than other software and their supports been top notch!
• Open and Closed Circuit Decompression

• Infinite Gas Selections

• Imperial or Metric

• Repetitive dives

• Repetitive dives OC-CCR / CCR-OC

• Air Breaks

• Deep Stops

• Oxygen Management

• Variable Ascent Rates

• Stop or Run Time

• Bail out from Closed Circuit

• Compare Feature

• Profile Manager

• Gas Supply Calculations

• Multiple Schedule Table Output

• PDF Manual

It's well worth the cost.
