| MOD2 is a single stage course I think (didn't do it, went straight to MOD3) if I'm right you would probably have to practice passing your stage off to someone which wouldn't help if you were running your suit off it. Simplest solution would be to use an argon bottle. Ian

| I've always used an off board tank, but I see no reason why you can't run a whip from your deco gas - certainly both of my stage regs have whips attached in case I need them. Juz

I used a seperate airgon bottle, but that's because I'm stingy and I plan to only fill my bailout bottles every five years. Janos

| just done my mod 2/3 with richie and i used to run my suit off of my stage, but now i run off of a 1lt bottle and its just so much easier. and you wil have to take your stages off so it makes sense to get one, and onse you've filled your stages why keep having to top them up when you can just fill them and leave um and use your suit bottle. if your doing your mod2 then your more than likely going to do your mod3 and then your have to have one. so its better to sort your kit now. stu |

| My Mod 2 was a one stage course, that stage is full of mix, not ideal for suit inflation! Buy an argon bottle. Danny |

| Mod 2 Suit inflation. Thanks. Argon it is then. Where do you get the fills? LDS? Welders?? Also Guys, wot did you run in your stages? I'm assuming bottom mix in Left side and either a 50% or 100% O2 in Right. Steve |

Initially you will be using your bailout bottles to practice drills from, and you will be shallow. I would give Rich a ring and see what he says. (I used of air for the first couple of days, as we were shallow, and then mix and 50%) But give Rich a bell. Janos

as for bail out gas i use 10/52 in the bottom mix (left side) and 50% (right side) if you use 50% in your rich mix you can get on it a lot sooner than 100% hope this helps
