Mod 3 with Richie Stevenson
I'm off to Malin Head in July to do my Mod 2/3 off Loyal Watcher with Richie Stevenson. Has anyone got any hints what to watch for & practice in advance?

As you have sorted the nasty bit you should be ok, Richie does like stage removal and refitting so make sure you are comfortable with this. Soleniod stuck open is anther one he likes, unfortunatly Richie is verry good at sussing what you dont like/not very good at and making you do them. Have a great weeks diving.

Damn, when I did that drill with him on Mod 1 I blew the oring on my O2 DIN valve and had a real emergency. Not that I could do much except carry on doing what I was to conserve the O2 now pouring out behind me.

All in all it was a rather eventful Mod 1, what with a CO2 hit on my first dive.

Yes, he's a fanatical Man City supporter, so slag off fergies rent boys (Man Utd), including the pretty boy portugese winker, granny shagger shrek (Rooney) and that one with the face of a gorilla - Trevez. That'll get you off to a good start with him.

Or do like l did and totally balls up the first dive, which makes the remaining dives seem much better.

Have a good time. l think Richie is a very 'user friendly' guy.

I agree, I've done all my tech training with him, that's why I'm going back again. He's kept me alive so far. Plus its an opportunity to do some really good diving, and not be stuck in a quarry somewhere.
