| RB Mk15.5 ?!? Hello, Many times I heard the code of this RB, can someone explaine what it is? If it is a SCCR or a CCR, what are it's limits, what are it's pros and con? Regards Pierre

| check out http://www.cybermaps.co.uk/cyberbarics/ The MK15.5 is the direct descendant of the MK15 and the CCR-1000 built by BioMarine Industries. In the 1980's a diver for Shell used a CCR-1000 on a dive of 1,800 fsw (545m) out of a lockout chamber Pros - its designed for deep dives (recent dives to 220m, 175m, 185m, in 1980s 545m) - it has long scrubber life - it has back mounted lungs so chest is free - extensively dived by US Navy (still used) - compact and streamline - looks r e a l l y cool Cons - its no longer manufactured - hard to find one for sale - Parts are hard to get - expensive to buy (US$10 - 15k) - it has higher wob than newer designs - need to update controller Think of it as an E-type Jag, whereas the capable inspiration is more like the new S-type.
