| Dave, John's suggestion is good, turning the hoses around the outer locking rings either side of the mouthpiece should help. If you are new to diving the unit give yourself time to relax, I found that early on I had jaw fatigue caused by gripping the mouthpiece too hard between my teeth. After diving OC with a negatively buoyant mouthpiece the positive buoyancy of the unit's made it feel insecure and hence the tendency to hold on a little too tight. I hope you sort the problem and enjoy diving the unit. Dive safe. |

| Thanks Brian, turning the hoses does sound like the way to go. Your probably right about relaxing my bite on the mouth piece as well, there’s still a little paranoia about letting water get in. I won’t get the chance to try changing the attitude of the hoses until tomorrow (waiting for lime to arrive tonight) then hopefully I can get this sorted out. There are a lot of things I need to sort out on the unit. While on the course I used my instructors spare unit as mine was not ready. I was more concerned about learning/getting the drills right and monitoring the handsets than the actual comfort of diving it. Like any big change in diving kit it's going to take a while until everything feels the way I want it to. There will probably be some more questions; I'll just try to sort one thing out at a time. I was quite embarrassed when John told me about turning the hoses; it's so obvious I should have thought of this myself. Like a lot of other things in life we tend to look for the complex rather than the simple solution. Thanks, Dave
