Talking Is Martin into bondage?
Having now had a few dives on my own unit (YBOD) I can now honestly say I know why most people change out the harness for a steel back plate and more sensible rig. The standard rig is a complete nightmare; Martin Parker must be seriously into bondage or some other strange fetish. Last time I saw anything with as many buckles/fastex clips it was worn by Michel Jackson. I like the unit but man does the rig piss me off. Don’t get me wrong if cat woman was diving with me or even hanging about in the boat then the bondage thing would be acceptable but as for my dive buddies, I think not. So the question remains does Martin have a bondage fetish or is he just good friends with Marilyn Manson? :o

Would work for me to in the right company. I'ts to big to wear when not diving and the crowd I dive with are great people but I don't think I could "go there" with them, mmmmm......well maybe a certain someone.

I changed the waist-strap for a yellow one with SS buckle- much easier to see/feel what's what.

I don't think you'll find it's most people. Quite a few I grant but most are pretty standard.
The problem is to make the counterlungs come down nice and snug, hence the second, smaller 'pull to tighten' straps. Now I admit I've dumped the chest strap (chop!) and I've had the waist pinch clip pop open twice so that is likely to go for a weight belt style buckle sooner rather than later but to change the whole harness doesn't appeal to me at the moment. I do like the pull to tighten on the shoulder straps, that makes getting in much easier. It's not like a hog rig where you are just sliding into the webbing. You have the CLs to negotiate.

Now if you had asked "Has Martin got shares in Velcro plc?" that would be a different matter.
