| These are nice rigs usually fetching US$10 -US$15k depending on condition. They are not common (only 25 or so MK15.5 were ever built) and I never thought one would turn up in my landlocked home town (Swindon!) of all places. Assuming its genuine (and who nows on Ebay) Im sure it wont go unsold. ...Or maybe I could have two? Last edited by Drmike : 19-09-04 at 02:10 AM. |

| Hello Drmike, If it was so good and popular what only so few units were build, just curious. Regards Pierre Farrugia

Short answer is only a few MK15.5 were made but a shed load of MK15 and MK16 were made and still are. There isnt much difference between the three really other than a change in the way the scrubber is filled. The Navy (US mostly) used almost exclusively the earlier model, the MK15. This was superseded by the MK16 which is still being sold to Navies today by Carlton. The MK16 is not available to the public and is only sold to military. The MK15.5 is a MK15 upgraded to a MK16 loop. Only a few were made before the MK16 basically supersieded it. |

| Still going... No bids on the ebay auction yet - anyone tempted? |

The Q and A stuff is quite interesting. I know of two people who want it. I doubt anyone will bid untill the last minute so as not to push the price up too high. |

| If I was going to buy an electronically controlled RB, for £4900 I'd rather pay that than buy an Inspiration. I've dived the Mk15.5, it's a beautiful bit of kit. If I wasn't under threat of castration I'd bid for it myself. Gutted, if only it had come up for sale last year |
