Yes they were pioneers in their field, but there is a list a lot longer of people who did hurt them selfs doing diving OC and CCR that were not trained but self taught, you can now give yourself a better chance of diving safely by getting trained by people who usually no a lot more than you seem to want to give credit fore, diving has moved on go with the flow most of us are glad of a help up in our diving, my head is not that far up my arse, I will accept help and training from anybody who talks sense and hopefully I will learn from them, We do not have to invent the wheel at this point in diving, unless you no something different!.
