Cool 3 ring circus @ NDC
If anyone is at the NDC w/c 21/11 spare a thought for the poor sod in the Ouroboros doing his MOD1 (me) the course structure is:

MOD1 student (me) being taught by student instructor being taught by student instructor trainer being taught by "god"

how's about that for stress!

I knew my instructor had to be signed off by an IT, I was unaware of the trainee IT's involvement until recently..it shouldn't really affect me hopefully as I will only be listening to my instructor

It's MOD1 student, being taught by a Trainee Instructor (TI), who is being taught by a Trainee Instructor Trainer (TIT) who is being taught by an Instructor Trainer Trainer. (ITT).

I was just curious. As an education consultant, I like letting students know fully (on paper) what to expect at the start and what to expect if there are any unforseen changes. Since you are paying for a course you are entitled to whatever benefits/training standards were stated. If the training is 80-100% trainee involvement & teaching I would have a clarifying chat with the 'god'.

Your instructor (the trainee Instructor) is supposed to be Alan Wright who also operates the "Salutay" liveaboard in N.Ireland. A buddy of mine just finished his MOD 1 on the YBOD yesterday and by all reports Alan is a top class instructor / diver and all-round good guy although I have never dived with him.

Yes, I know it is Alan, I asked him to do the course as he comes very highly recommended by other boris owners. I just want to get it out of the way now so I can get the unit wet, my YBOD is leaving home tomorrow night so I need to use boris now.
