Question Trigene or what?

What disinfectant to you guys use for your RB?

Recommended for my unit is Trigene Advance. However, I can only find a single supplier. So:
- suppliers?
- alternatives?

Thanks

Buddyclean, I bought some when I got my YBOD and it's still going strong, I don't use it very often

Water. I've disinfected my KISS once in two and a half years, no infections to show for it.

You can pick up Virkon cheap in pet shops. It's exactly the same stuff as Virkon S except it's cheaper because it isn't warrantied to meet DEFRA standards.

trigene and buddyclean, to the best of my knowlege, are one and the same.

buddyclean is sold at stoney and [i think] is around £11 per 500ml spray bottle.

White Dettol anti-bacterial surface cleaner. About £1.50 for 750ml from the local farm shop. Only problem is the girlfriend keeps nicking it to clean the kitchen.

sph supplies do a pack of 50 tablets for £12. Each tablet makes up 1/2ltr which is plenty to clean the lungs and loop.

I would stick to buddy clean or trigene if i were you ,i used lots of vircon during the last foot and mouth episode and it eats rubber and turns black cordura pink."Which is nice i suppose in the right circles"It ate my mud flaps and flexible brake hoses on the land rover.

I've been using it for 10 months now, and the cordura hasn't even faded. You just have to make sure you don't exceed the reccommended concentrations and don't leave it soaking in the stuff for hours.
