sorry to hear of your loss rich

but if you had a good alarm with a dialer that phoned you instead of the crap monitored/ red care one {thats if it was alarmed } you would of known about it sooner and you could of phoned the police as it was happening or dun something about it your self

or CCTV you could see on your home PC/laptop or your mobile phone!
that is good for fouls alarms as you can see your property in real time

you could even have CCTV on movement alarm that will text pics straight to your mobile phone! then you could of gone down the unit or rang the fuzz
and all this for less than the cost of an inspo!!!!!!!

what alarm have you got on your van ?
pop a sim card/dialer on then if the alarm gos off you know about it as it rings your mobile
you can even track your van then on the tintrnet {without relying on the fuzz to track it }

Rich, what other forums have you posted this info on - I can think of RB World(?), UK Divers, South West Mafia, BSAC and Divernet. Did someone already mention they had put a link on the BSAC forum?

Lets hope these TC's weren't divers and don't realise the implications of trying to sell CCRs without knowing much about them and that it becomes immediately apparent when they come up for sale?

I hope it gets sorted soon. I suppose it's too soon to look on eBay?

Thanks to everyone so far who has replied, I have been overwhelmed with offers to loan kit, so thanks to everyone who has been posotive about my situation, it's appreciated

As for Deep Bull, I am sorry but if I do know you it's missed my memory, can you remind me please? As for alarms I haven't been in Mount Batten for 2 years now which is where I am assuming you refer to the Red Care system we used to have?

They took the windows out of the toilet and then drilled out the security grill to get in, so clearly knew what they're after. As I am in the sticks it must have been someone who has visited me recently and as I don't get many visitors the police only have a few names to track down !!

Damage so far is £48k plus VAT and rising as I notice what else has gone missing, don't think NorwichUnion will be sending me a xmas card this year

Sorry to hear that some t**t has decided to pay you a visit and in the process lift a load of your stuff.

Can you post the serials and ill keep my eyes open in denmark as i regulary visit all the dive shops on both peninsulas

I do hope that NU pay up, but as the old saying goes, gates and doors are only to keep friends out - and it definitly seems that these muppets were no where near being friends!
