I generally take a few essential tools on holiday including mouth piece etc, I had a decent amount with me in the Redsea so I would think that between a dozen RBers on the boat a couple of them would have the necessary tools.

And don't cells degrade over time ? You are suggesting Hazel buys these items just in case they are needed.

I think it is great that Hazel is asking what people would like, but don't abuse the situation.

they're only suggestions, I hardly think that constitutes abuse

Whilst we're on the subject of tumble driers, have you thought of installing a second, much larger, one for the sole use of the Dude next time he's up there?

I thought I'd provide a dream list, and any of the suggestions that can happen, great. Any that can't or are already easily available in Stromness etc is no problem.

As a rule divers having problems with equipment is much more likely for photographers, then rebreather divers, then everyone else. As a result a boat which caters to them in any way will be preferred over one that doesn't, and one which can help with a lot of essentials which if they aren't on board would have to be transported will be top of the list.

It wasn't a "if you don't have this it's not worth bothering" list.

I think over a season you'd get through at least one cell, when they're sealed in the bag they're not degrading a lot, and certainly would be very welcome when a diver pops open their spare and finds they've got a duff cell...

    Digs.

Oooh ooh ooh me! Me! Me! I've got one:

Blocks of wood for KISS and other miniature unit divers. A simple few blocks of wood without any big splinters, with "KISS block" written on it. The number of divers I know who dive KISSes and aren't comfortable sitting down for long periods because their unit isn't long enough and use a block of wood to prop it up on their bench.

Feck all cost, and good idea. Also works for people diving twin 10s and haven't worked out 12s are the way to go

I'd also use these for my 12s, because I like to have my set higher up than most boat benches, helps me from straining my back as I get up.

The wall behind the bench could have clips or bungees attached so that if my Inspo is on the bench, almost complete, I can clip the handle on whilst fitting the scrubber assembly and know that the unit isn't going to fall.

    3) if yes is the answer too 2) where can I get one?

Yep, like that, but made properly, instead of a few bits of skirting board hacked to bits and held together with spit I think your patent is safe, the product I am suggesting is far superior and works very differently. It's a block of wood see, so it doesn't fall over when someone leans over a bit
