Smile Indicating and non indicating Sofnolime

    Hi Folks,

I'm just coming to the end of a tub of non indicating Sofnoline and the next one i have lined up is of the indicating variety. The old tub looks like it has enough to fill about half the scrubber. Is anyone aware of any issues with mixing the two types in the same scrubber?

    Cheers

    Chris

Not that I am aware of and I have done precisely that on a couple of occasions.

BTW indicating lime is pants as an indicator but fine as lime...

As Rob has said I have used mixed lime on many occasions and the only difference is that the indicating stuff tends to turn your scrims a nice pinky colour

I used to use it when I was homebuilding, it's good if you can either open the scrubber up right away to see where the front is or if you have a transparent can. For normal use it is pish though because usually it will either have faded before you open it or you can't get to the front without disturbing the lime.

I have mixed Sofnalime and Spherasorb several times and done some bigish dives on it without any issue.

Spherasorb is indicating but all its done for me so far is depress me when they made me throw away my lime after two hours use in Mexico and there was barely a twinge of purple at the bottom of the tin

I much prefer the sperasorb in the KISS. Easier to pack and lower WOB than Sofnalime.

Thanks for the input everyone! Looks like it's ok then. Yes, i had no intention of actually using the indicator as everyone says it's poo!

    Cheers
